So buddypress isn’t working that well on my site. One of the things it has done is interfere with my flickr photo gallery’s ability to show the photos in a lightbox. There is some problem with the javascript.

Your help would be much appreciated, as I am an employee at a nonprofit and we are building our own website with very little… well no budget.

Maybe a solution: take a look in the source and see all references to javascript version numbers… it is possible that you have a simple version conflict.
Try also to deactivate your flickr plugin and see if BP is going well (normally it does)
