    Could you be more specific? BuddyPress’ bp-default theme has all necessary files for a blog – index, style.css, archive, comments, 404, etc.

    I think Famous means the default theme isn’t default blog-friendly.

    I’ve read a thread by Famous asking for this before:

    Thanks @r-a-y. It could be done without a plugin by uploading the desired theme files into wp-content/themes/default folder to replace the files there. Then change the Theme Name of file of new default theme’s style.css to Theme Name: WordPress Default

    Just keep a copy of the preferred theme in your computer so that whenever you upgrade your WP install, you upload your preferred theme files with the revised Theme Name in style.css again to wp-content/themes/default. Since upgrading WP occurs around 5 times a year or so, no hard task at all.

    The only hitch is if the replacement theme has hardcoded paths instead of using relative paths and therefore would not work in folder name different from referenced files’ URL’s.

    thanks @r-a-y for pointing @mercime to the past post. Well I went that path and just hacked up the bp-default. Hopefully, I won’t have hard times in the future for doing this. Thanks guys

    this was a solution suggested by Andy. I havn’t tested it thoroughly though. I see that it works fine but the url looks messed up. I dont have a clear idea of how the whole things operates.

    you need to add this to your wp-config.php above the “stop editing” line:

    define( “BP_ENABLE_MULTIBLOG”, true );

    @gwu123 – I didn’t add that, and currently I don’t see any problems with the theme. Can you tell me what happens if I don’t add that? Thanks
