I am working on a social network site that requires Groups to be used in a slightly different way.

I am specifying multiple problems that I want to solve.

Problem 1. Groups and their slugs

I want to have groups under different sections. For example, I want to have 5 groups under music and five groups under Games.

Under music my groups will be like:

http://www.website.com/music/jass

Under games, my groups will be like:

http://www.example.com/games/football

I don’t know how I can have groups under different slugs in one website.

Problem 2: Activity streams of master groups.

This is a connected problem. Now that i have 5 sub groups under music, I want to have the combined activity stream for the master group.

For example: http://www.example.com/music, should show the activity stream of all five groups.

Again, I just don’t know how to do this?

Can someone please help me with how I can achieve this, what is, and what is not possible?

You can start off by using https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-group-hierarchy/ then proceed from there.
