How do I put Buddypress links in my active theme’s navigation bar, and turn of the Buddypress nav?

Hi, I am trying to take the links from the Buddypress nav bar and put those links in my themes nav bar, and then turn off the Buddypress nav bar? Can some one point me in the right direction? Help is much appreciated.
