Complete novice to the world of Buddypress and plugins so bear with me. I installed a forum plugin and activated it and did all the amendments…but how do you add it to say the forum page.
I understand how widgets works but not plugins…

Unless you wanted a completely separate forum, you didn’t need to add it separately with a plugin.

The BP forums link goes to the internal forum that is built in and attached to groups.

By the looks of that site – you need to enable pretty permalinks which is required for buddypress….

To fix this problem, enter the WordPress admin panel > Settings > Pemalinks – set to any configuration other than the default configuration. The mod_rewrite must be enabled on your server for pretty permalinks to work
