Hmm, Does anyone know if this is possible?

Basically I have a wordpress website:

1. Students 2. Teachers

I basically would like to use buddypress as it’s perfect to handle all the members/students – so they can friend each-other & etc

but I would need ANOTHER buddypress install to handle all the teachers, so teachers can message/friend eachother but members/students CANT friend or message the teachers.

Using groups really doesn’t work, I basically want to have a different profile for the teachers –

I’ve searched high & low for a solution, but none exist – I was thinking about two buddypress installs would be perfect, but is this even possible?

The article only mentions Networks + to enable multiple networks which is a premium plugin.

There is also a free plugin, by @johnjamesjacoby, to enable multiple networks https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-multi-network/ but that apparently is no longer compatible.

It has been patched ( http://alantait.net/2011/07/27/wp-multi-network-plugin-fix-for-wordpress/ ) and @johnjamesjacoby mentioned in the comments of that page ( 12/02/2012 ) that he planned to update it soon…
