Hi I just updated to the latest buddypress. Previously users received an autogenerated monster on registration. No ALL avatars have changed to mystery man. Any clues as to what happened/how i can fix it back?

I discovered this issue myself earlier today and ( based on https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/1-5-group-avatars-using-mystery-man-default#post-109448 ) found that the following in bp-custom.php will change the default group and user avatar settings:

global $bp;
// change ‘identicon’ to anything listed here:
// http://en.gravatar.com/site/implement/images/#default-image
$bp->grav_default->group = ‘identicon’;
$bp->grav_default->user = ‘monsterid’;
}
add_action( ‘bp_init’, ‘my_avatar_defaults’ );
