hello!
i’m very new to wp/bp – here’s my question: when a user clicks ‘new post’ on my (future) buddypress site he’s taken to the default wp post-new.php screen.
how can i override that? i want a screen that complies with the site theme, should it be a wp plugin, or may be a completely separate from wp page that stores the data to db for wp to use and display? tx!

if you want to allow your members to create blogs and go multisite, then yeah the members will have access to the backends of respective blogs. For site where BP is installed, members cannot access Add New Post unless you elevate their roles from anything other than Suscriber level which is default set in Super Admin Options.

thanks for the reply.
i had some problems with O-Q-P, so i chose “ucan post”, but still need to customize it as users’ posts will be only one simple text area + 1 image (like http://hunuk.com/ or million others); probably wp post types have some way to do this too, gotta digg…as i said i’m really new to this…
