I’ve install buddy press at okaybyme.com and installed my first subsite on wordpress mu at http://oklahomacity.okaybyme.com. I just downloaded all of these so everything is at the latest versions.

If you visit the subsite none of the standard links work at the top (Actvity/Members, etc).

What did I do wrong?

I’m having exactly the same issue. (footiemate.com). Members directory, blogs, forums, groups just redirect back to the homepage. Also, when I click on my own profile link it redirects back the homepage.I have the same config as above + upgraded BP (versus a fresh install). Variations of this issue seem to exist in several different areas across these forums. Thanks

Same problem, I’ve installed it on other domains on the same host without problems before. But I jjust tried another fresh install of WP 3.0, no plugins, ALL links related to buddy press result in a 404. The tables look like they have been created in the database.

Not sure if this helps cause I am using the Suffusoin theme, but when I had that problem it was because I had updated the theme to the newest one and I had to go back and reinstall the buddypress adaption plug ins from the theme maker.

Are there certain settings on the host that need to be enabled? Or file permissions for the plugin so it can generate the data in the new wb_bp tables?

I was having the same issue with my test site: http://epicgeniusmedia.com/fmp2/. All of the members or activity links just re-directed to the homepage. I had bbPress installed and integrated with my WordPress site beforehand and was having login issues with that as well, so I deleted that forum and used BuddyPress forum setup to create a new one. Everything seems to be working fine now!
