I trying to change the You have # pending friendship requests text in adminbar, but I know that not advisable to edit the core file.

Can any one help me please to change that text.

Depends where/how the string is in the code. Give it a go, otherwise you’ll need to add afilter and customise the string that way with a few lines of code.
