I have a site that Id like to keep as non buddypress but linked to from the main site, preferably as part of the sub site with WPMU. Such as site.com/community for example.

Id prefer to keep it separate but accessible from the main site by linking from a Page title, for example ‘Community’, or a banner.

I have a test domain where I installed BP on the sub site and it installed it as part of the main site also so im wondering if I have a possible solution in sight?

Worst case scenario I will have to create/find a new theme which works well with BP. Im about to try a rockettheme but i have a feeling compatibility will be an issue again, hence my preference to having it seperate.

Theme – themes at rocketthemes look good and if you have HTML/CSS mojo, you can make it work with https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-template-pack/. If not, a BP compatible theme or a BP child theme would be the way to go.
