Only my homepage is showing up, all other pages are not functioning.
-
Now while the home page is functional any other link on my site just results in a blank page. I installed wordpress mu using hostgator and was able to install buddypress without any problem.
I hope this is a common error. Thank you for any suggestions

I’ve got same problem.
I tried to reinstall the plugin and the whole blog. nothing helpsBlank page = errors, every single time. Please check your error logs. if you don’t know what they are or where they are, ask your webhost.
My error log (I deleted info that I believe to be private.

I’m guessing that I need to move some buddypress files so hostgator can find them or is this like in certain programs where I have to locate them manually for them to be recognized? Thanks any help would be great.
Is this some file management error or might host gator have some problem. Could it be a problem with the parent theme?

Go to Settings > Permalinks and choose structure other than default permalink and save.
@mercime thanks but already done !
@mercime but apparently the issue comme from permalinks not solved by my apache install
@mercime solved ! had to comment “AllowOverride None” in httpd apache conf file !
ok, what if I have two wp blogs installed on one server? One is running perfectly fine with a shopp plug-in, but when I installed the second blog with bp plug-in, I only get the front page, I am only able to create posts, which get linked to existing posts on the first blog, or to “Sorry, no posts matched your criteria” on the first blog. For the web server software, I’m using apache.
I had the exact same problem (two wordpress blogs installed on one server, and suddenly only the front page worked but none of the other ones. But it was only the pages on ONE of the blogs that didn’t work–the other one worked completely fine). I spent 4 hours pouring over my css scripts and coding in the .php files thinking there was something faulty there; I checked and rechecked every single setting to see if I had checked or left unchecked some box or option. Couldn’t figure it out.
Then I went to my plugins and remembered that I had downloaded a plugin (a YouTube/video plugin). I deactivated it and wham-bam!!! my pages started working again. So it must have been the plugin.
Try deleting any plugins you may have downloaded.
@ikazet just to clarify .. when you say blogs in the same server, the first blog WP 2.9.1 is in http://www.siteA.com/ and the second blog is WP 2.9.2 with BP in http://www.siteB.com/ or is 2nd blog in separate folder that’s a subdirectory like http://www.siteA.com/secondWPinstall/?
If you install a second WP in subdirectory where there is also WP at root of domain, make sure that the name of subdirectory folder (or URL path) doesn’t conflict with something else in your main site at root. e.g. If you have a page in root named labs as in http://siteA.com/portfolio/ do not name the folder where you installed 2nd WP “portfolio”.
On my site, I had to turn on the “Rewrite” module for Apache. I was having the same issue.
Ok, sorted!
So, i switched the “rewrite” module on Apache but it didn’t really make any difference.
I had to amend the .htaccess file to make it writable.
to do so, i just followed bp instructions that were showing when I was changing permalinks to anything different then default.
