Is there a way to reply to forums via email right now it says you have to log into the website to reply you can’t just hit reply in your email.

I get: To view your original update and all comments, log in and visit: URL
or
To view or reply, log in and go to: URL

I like how on yahoo groups or google groups or lots of other places you can just hit reply in your email.

Would it be possible to add activity updates to a group via email too? I appreciate this might need some additional tweak if people are in multiple groups, but it would be a great feature…

@r-a-y  why do we need to create brand new gmail account and then activate the plugin, why we can’t use older account? I have one almost new (3 weeks old almost virgin account) and after setting up username and password and enabled IMAP I always get this warning:

BuddyPress Reply By Email cannot initialize. Please navigate to “BuddyPress > Reply By Email” to fill in the required fields and address the webhost warnings.

Error: Unable to connect to inbox – Can’t connect to gmail-imap.l.google.com,993: Connection timed out
