I am using WordPress 3.2.1, BuddyPress 1.2.9, Theme Titimplik 1.0.0.0.
After installing buddypress, my side bar ended up WAY down on the pages. The front page is set to static so it is fine there. It is wonkey on the BuddyPress pages only. Here is a link, you will have to stroll down to see the sidebar. http://rebuildingfreedom.org/groups/
Can anyone help me with the formatting?
I’m a newby at forums, so if I’m in the wrong place, let me know where to post this.

Try giving the sidebar or page a shorter width/lengh

This is exactly the same problem I am having except in the opposite way – my sidebar is fine, it’s my content area that is at the bottom level of the sidebar.

I noticed that playing around with the float tags in the the CSS might fix it, although that only fixed part of my problem.

@idahoannie @kkradel after installing BP Template Pack plugin, you need to go through the process including imposing your active WP theme’s HTML structure onto the BP template files transferred into your WP theme’s folder in server.
