ey everyone,
Having some trouble with creating groups. I, as suer admin, can create groups no problem. When a user (or my user-level debug account) try to create a great it goes to step one, but then almost instantly redirects back to the root url http://wyoelearning.org
I’m using WP 3.1.3, and BP 1.2.8
Other plugins include:
Wiki (from WPMU Dev)
Jet Event System for BuddyPress
CubePoints Buddypress Integration
Buddypress Sitewide activity widget
BP-Album+
BuddyPress Group Email Subscription
Simple:Press
CubePoints
Buddypress Widget Pack
BuddyPress Links
Buddypress Humanity
Any help on this would be much appreciated, as you can imagine this is a serious problem :S

update–
it seems that standard users are also unable to edit the wiki. Makes me wonder if it’s permissions based, anyone have any thoughts?

@flynn basic troubleshooting – deactivate all plugins except BuddyPress and change to bp-default theme. In all probability, your users can create groups. Then activate plugins one by one and then your custom theme (if any) to see which one causes the group creation hiccup.

Thanks, I tried that to no avail. Turns out the theme I was using has a setting that can restrict group creation to admins, which is on by default :S
