I just setup a new installation of wordpress/buddypress. I created an admin account and can login fine.

However…

I imported a csv file of users and email addresses from the previous system that was running under joomla. I see these names fine in the users list. I did not import passwords. So I have used the forgotten password function so reset a password. All email are sent properly however when I try to login with the new password that is generated I get the warning as if it is an incorrect password.

I also reset passwords manually in PHPmyadmin but that does not work either. Same result as if I entered an incorrect password.

Now if I create a new account, I can login fine, problem is only with the imported accounts.

Any suggestions on what to try next?
