404 errors on every Link

Hey guys i get 404 errors on any link i use for buddy press. For Example ( http://example.com/activity/ ) will give me 404- File or directory not found…. but if i put /index.php after the .com its won’t give me 404 errors for example http://example.com/index.php/activity/ and it will bring up the activity page for BP any help guys Please

Looks like you’re using a Windows server. I recall someone in this forum or in WP.org using that solution to offset lack of mod_rewrite. Maybe others who use Windows server can chime in.

.htaccess was my problem – http://goo.gl/72UnN this posting had the code needed to make it work

I had the same problem and solve it by changing the permalinks to some that this is not the default and enable the Apache module “mod_rewrite”

When you fail to read previous posts then of course it’s a solution by installing Apache module on IIS. How’s that working for you!?! Dah… I’m sure you won’t read this post either.
