Creating default object from empty value

This is a fresh install of the latest wordpress 3.4.1 and latest buddypress 1.5.6

After hitting the “Activate” button I get this at the top of the page…

Never had this problem before

@matax91 are you using PHP 5.4 by any chance? Then check out if solution provided in following link works out for you https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ticket/4191

@mercime I probably am, I will check and see when I get home and see if that fixes it. If I am, should I not be running 5.4? Is it too new?
