Recently installed my first attempt at buddypress. Right now I’m not seeing the forum anywhere, despite installing it. I also don’t see an option to create groups. I have most options available in the menubar on the theme.

It’s possible I’m overlooking something basic, but i someone could point me in the right direction I’d appreciate it.

For forums – you have to set it up first = dashboard menu > BuddyPress > Forums Setup
For groups – enable it first = dashboard menu > BuddyPress > Component Setup

Thanks for the response. I did enable those in the dashboard without effect.

Pretty permalinks must be set up for BP to work. Run Settings > Permalinks and set it to other than default.
