I am in the process of trying out the BuddyPress Plugin. First impression is that it is an awesome plugin. But now I after problems installing in wordpress and how slow posting and navigating is on this site I am reconsidering. Is BuddyPress slow on smaller sites as well?

BuddyPress is very fast on most platforms; it is only this morning that the server this site is running on is experiencing some issues.

http://testbp.org is a better representation of what to expect after installing and turning on BuddyPress.
