I use the BuddyPress Activity Stream Ajax Notifier on my site and it works great with Firefox, but in testing my site out on IE the “New Data – Refresh page now” ajax never appears with new data in Activity.

Are there other better options for this that I may not be aware of?

noting the version of IE helps. just uses jquery but i tested with IE8/9 and works.
