what i am saying is that if someone makes a comment to a blog post — and that comment shows up in the activity stream — if i reply in the activity stream, then the reply should also show up on the blog post — and that’s not happening right now.

Blog/CPT comment replies aren’t displaying as BP activity entry replies, but rather as entirely independent replies scoped only to the activity stream. Reply’s do show up, but as new entries entirely.
