It seems that activity updates from my users on the site-wide “wall” are not saved.

I see a “toast message” after posting, but when returning to the wall the update is gone.

How can I remedy this?

When a user go to ‘settings’ and change their email, nothing happens. Is he or she supposed to receive a confirmation email?

I discovered that translations in my ‘Dynamic Members List’ show when I see the widget in the backend ‘widgets’ – but on the front page it is still English. Same issue with ‘registered’, ‘active’ , ‘members’ in this widget.

I already tried to clear my cache.

I switched to JAAS which is what Buddymeet used.

With a free account you can have 25 users/month.

I stopped using Loco and created a custom language file. I found most of the strings, but there are still some missing: ‘visit group’ and ‘account settings’ for instance.

Maybe I need to update my Danish translation to latest pot-file? It is only 93% in Polyglot.

Where do I download the latest .pot?

I have been using Buddymeet to host meetings in a group, but the plugin stopped working due to changes at Jitsi.

So now I use “Jitsi as a service” by basically embedding an iframe on a webpage behind login.

Is there a way to put a link in the group navigation to my meeting page, on the same site, but outside the bp group?

What about a group video conferencing option, like Buddymeet ?

The plugin uses Jitsi’s open source software. Maybe a self hosted Jitsi instance could be an add-on?

I don’t expect this for 14.0, since I suspect it would be time consuming. But it would be a cool future feature I think.

I do have account settings component enabled, and I also checked in the Twenty twenty two theme, and I don’t see the possibility to change email in the Buddypress settings.

I use the BuddyX theme, and hide the Wordpress menu for my users.

Is there any way to let users change email via the Buddypress user menu?

Today, someone deleted an activity update from the activity stream.

It was not the author himself, because he hasn’t been active since his first post.
It wasnt’ any other user with admin rights.

So my question is: Who can delete another user’s update?

When I send an invite through ‘invitations’, the invitation-email goes out, but I get ‘404’ even though the page …/members/(username)/invitations/” does in fact exist. I can visit the page by copy-pasting the url.

So my users think that the email is not sent, even though it is… anyone else seeing this?

I just did a test, and the button works, but there is no succes message to the user, and the button ‘join group’ still shows, until you refresh the page.

I would like to align the text area in the what’s new form with the profile photo horitzontally.

Modifying css in the customizer or browser solves the problem, but only in the customizer. When I publish, the width goes back to 100%, it seems.

I have a member site with X profile fields, where users can up- og downgrade their membership of my site via a multiple choice X profile field. But I also have some fields with less important info like “favorite color” or links to social profiles.

When a user updates his/her profile, it shows in the activity field, but I can’t see what…[Read more]

I deactivated WP Better Emails and BP registration options and now mails go out fine, it seems. I haven’t had any new registrations yet, though.

Will investigate more, when I have time, but I don’t think it is a Buddypress problem.

I added a few lines that insert images in the header and footer of the template – line 189-192 and 215-221 and created the folders in my theme and uploaded the template file.

I can manage members in all other groups, except this one, which I did not create myself.

I have succesfully updated to 6.0 (which is great, thanks to the developers).

I have a single group (1 of 15) that was created about two years ago by another site member, that does not let me administer user roles. The user role member directory is just empty.

I found the culprit.
When I deactivate the plugin “BuddyPress Group Email Subscription” response time is reduced from >10 sec to around 3 seconds.

When posting an activity, it takes very long time – up to 10-15 seconds – from clicking ‘send’ to the post appears in the stream. This happens with both personal activities and group activities.
This delay makes users click ‘send’ again, which creates duplicate entries in the group stream.

I hid the labels ‘username’ and password’ to save space for the input fields. I would like to add theses labels as placeholder text to them, though – some users might be confused by seeing two empty boxes.

Is there any way I could do that, without editing the widget code?

I am trying to use the login widget in the topbar of my site.

I would like the two input fields to align horizontally – they don’t in Chrome – and I would also like to make the login form smaller.
