Gothcha. Thanks, DJPaul.
Marking closed. It has something to do with the sitewide tags plugin. Thanks burtadsit for helping figure it out.
okay, i give up, where do i find the setting not to allow other users to post on the main blog. i have searched every setting on there.
here’s the solution in case you missed it. and for all others with the same issue.
gotcha. that worked. thanks!
and now i’m back to the same concern, i’m so pissed i havent been very specific when i said i got it fixed. i know it was an option on posting. but i forgot where i found it. he he.
every other post shows up on the blog (formerly news).
i want it to show only posts by the admin, on the primary blog.
just noticed that the profile for buddypress.org doesnt have the wire either. it was there a couple of days ago.
might work for you, it hasnt for mine but others seems to have made it work.
make sure to check the theme part of the rc-1 to rc-2 upgrade installation.
i think he’s referring to this:
https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/installing-buddypress/upgrading-from-rc-1/
which i followed but still not showing me my wire unless in default buddypress theme..
Greetings from the past comrades!
Checked system time and timezone settings (except host) , which seems to be correct. I\’m on a +8 zone. At least now I\’m only behind by an hour. Maybe I\’ll catch up with you guys someday. See you!
did that already. used default MU and deactivated all plugins. thanks. still white screen.
looking great! still finding where everything is but otherwise, looking really neat and clean.
so all you did was fresh install?
is it a public or a private blog? i think private blogs does not show on the sitewide activity.
okay. re tried upgrading by downloading the one on the download page. is that the latest or do i have to get the one on svn (frankly i dont know how to get the one on svn, download one by one? LOL)
i overwrote the existing files there on MU plugins. also overwrote the home theme and member theme. cant get to the apache error log (http 500 internal server error?) because im not really sure where that is on my cpanel.

the result is still white screen.
thanks for the answer, sir. will retry this as soon im done with my days backup (such as it is LOL)
yes, i did get the white screen of death when i installed the RC a few days after release.will check error messages after upgrading (in case ill still be getting WS) and post it here.
thanks for the help!
can you also point me to where i can copy it (sitewide activity or latest blog post so i can replace the blog posts when using a different theme for the home page?
thanks.
Great. Thanks. Guess I’ll have to wait when someone of age can help me since I definitely cannot do that. Thanks for mentioning hook though. Now I know the correct google phrase.
Your work on Flickr and Youtube is great. I’m using it on my site.
thanks for that.
im actually looking for something that would automatically calculate birthday on buddypress. if entered birthday is say, 13, the system would say something like, opps, we require at least year 1997.
(by the way, youre site is sooo great.i like the top members.
)
found the problem.
it seems i was posting as another member of the blog. sorry.
i’d really really want an update on this one. is there something i can do about this apart from disabling one of the best feature in BP?
i’d really want a global tags.

i have tried donnchas but it doesnt work well with bp.

+1 on albums.
which is the current blog? the one recently updated? the one on it has been there since last week.
thanks.
