Put a nofollow, noindex on it, right in the theme where it is linked. And change the default text that is linked. If you look at your access logs and your visitor stats, you’ll see they basically google for you.

Do you have a BuddyPress menu in the admin area? Are you running multisite?

Check your error logs.
Check the files on the server.

When stuff suddenly stops working with no changes on your end, it is almost entirely something on the server side. Hosts DO run updates to the software on the server and sometimes settings get reset.

Basically, to clarify: you only need to use a BuddyPress theme on the main site where Buddypress is activated. On the user blogs, just use a regular wordpress theme.

Excerpts usually strip tags and are all in one “chunk”, yes. It’s a basic WordPress themeing issue, not a bp one.

It’s exactly the same – it just pulls plugins from the wp repo tagged with “buddypress”.

WHERE are the file located? These are not core WP/buddypress files.

And what are your registration settings under Super Admin -> Options?
