I’ve got a copy where you can attach RSS feeds to a group but the only problem is that you need to create a user that will publish the items. I’ve created a dummy user eg “RSS Feeder” and that user publishes the RSS feeds to the group. I know…not very practical but it works.
email me at antonrsa[at]gmail.com if you want the plugin.
Only problem is…you can’t close the Announcer by clicking the X
Thanks. This is quite useful
So it won’t display anything when you are not logged in?
Anyone?
activated and got this error when editing the details
`function BP_Group_Extension::edit_screen_save() must be over-ridden in a sub-class.`
Thanks @nit3watch
Will test it out tonight. Did you ever release a plugin where you can add more profile fields to groups such as address, website, etc?
Add this to wp-config.php `define( “BP_REGISTER_SLUG”, “your-registration-slug” );` and change ‘your-registration-slug to your own registration slug.
Edit * the wp-config.php file is situated in the root of your wordpress installation
@nit3watch – How did you fix it?
@thelandman, I’m busy creating one. Will send you the link over the weekend to help test
@thelandman – I will also like to see how you do it with Ajax.
@poolie – awesome! I feel more like an amateur now
See that they have a mobile “iphone” app available. Will be kickass for bp – http://www.jomsocial.com/download/addons/core-enhancements/ijoomer–iphone-app-for-jomsocial.html
The page you are looking for is temporarily unavailable.
Please try again later.You cannot post the first item on the activity stream to Facebook. It asks for the URL but all the other activity stream items gets the URL.
Edit: My mistake. There were special characters in the content that I tried to share and it didn’t seem to like that.
Care to share a link of your site with this enabled?
@thekmen in the buddypress-followers plugin “_inc/templates/members/single/followers.php” and following.php is the links that I would like to change “bp_members_pagination_links()”
Edit
I found a short term solution as you have suggested. WIl keep checking to get the ajax working.
Thanks @thekmen will give it a shot
@travel-junkie – look at these two sites:http://mychatbox.me/anton/following/ and @nuprn1 site http://etivite.com/members/antonrsa/following/
Click on “2” to view the rest of the people I’m following. It doesn’t load. On buddypress.org it doesn’t work that way as it is a full link you have to click as I have explained above “..followers/?upage=2 “. Is it possible to make it work the same way as buddypress.org is working without the ajax?
Thanks @boonebgorges
Will give it a try
Thanks @nit3watch
It might work but what I’m looking for is a way to check if a user has logged in/registered with their Twitter account. When you register via Twitter (using the Twit Connect plugin) your email address is saved in wp_users as changeme.username@yourdomain.com. I want to add a function that checks if the user logged in via Twitter or checks their email address for the words changeme in their email address and then redirect them to the edit email settings page. Just need a way to get the users email address for the current logged in user.
WP normal 3.0.1 and the the latest bp
