| About Me | Hi, my name is Henri Benoit. I am 36 and I am a software developer, web developer, software architect, project manager, product manager based in Erlangen, Germany. I started programming as a kid almost 30 years ago and never stopped. In the beginning of my career as a software freak, my main interests were distributed system, databases and Linux/Unix operating systems. In the past few years, I’ve started enjoying building web sites, using a Mac and using open source CMS. In all those years, I’ve spent a lot of time giving support to others, sharing my experience. | WordPress Origin Story | I started working with WordPress in February 2011 when I started working for amazingweb, a German company designing and hosting web sites mainly built using WordPress. After a few months, I also moved my blog (benohead.com) to WordPress and slowly all other sites I am involved in (owned by relatives). Since then I’ve been working using many platforms and technology but have never stopped writing themes and plugins for WordPress. Most of them are not public since I do not have as much time as I’d like to polish them but a few plugins are available on wordpress.org. |
