Not sure if that one allows users to send msgs though? I think it’s just for admins?

Thanks for the info.

I suspect it’s going to mean some customization, but I just wondered if there were any plugins to get me close to it.

Ok does all the functionality that buddyPress have work fine if installed locally?

[@biggerplay Participant 11 years ago]

But are there certain technical issues that I might run into using Buddypress locally, that I wouldn’t have remotely?

I just googled and that’s what came up, anyway thanks.

You mean what it mentions here

http://premium.wpmudev.org/manuals/the-buddypress-manual-2/configuring-the-general-settings-of-your-buddypress-community/

?

And then as the admin I would be the only person who would be able to see the create group button?

So the difference is once it used to come bundled with forums and now you have to install them separately, but you can see have group and site forums or either or correct?

Uh? I just read about a 100 articles about how you can have forums from bbPress and group forums, the 2 themes that I’m trying to choose between mentions both…

Theme1

Theme2

Is that what they do? they have installed bbPress separately ? What are the latest guides for achieving this?
