In the admin you can turn off the option: Allow users to sync to BuddyPress?
Just like facestream had that option

If the key is in the field it should work, you can test it out by linking your flickr username to the profile.

@flatdog, we are looking into the Facebook problems, going to check why some people have issues with importing the items.

@all the import fixed that is provided is in the next release (somehwere this week)
@PJ i think you forgot to set the correct url on the application setup at facebook. (without www)

strange, we are checking if the post came from the own site or not so it should not import double.
The import problem with the files that are being created is solved in the next release (somewhere this week)

We are also working on a service for this, more about that soon.

Suzanne, you are right on that one we are looking how the privacy settings on facebook works so we can see how we can import the best way without making the users angry

@lapa34c strange its an php function thats exists from php4, will have to look at it and see if i can provide a fix

It worked indeed but it did also reset users when it not had to reset so i removed it.

Self fixing code i think :p i am happy that it works now.

Well the automatic reset did not work out that well :p but a manual one can be done.
Will write it down for a future version
