Go to the group page in BuddyPress (eg http://mydomain.com/groups/my-group) when logged in as a group admin or as the site administrator. Look for the Admin tab, and then for Group Avatar. Alternatively, go directly to http://mydomain.com/groups/my-group/admin/group-avatar

Do you mean group avatars? Have you gone to Group Admin > Update Avatar?

Boone Gorges posted on the forum topic Plugin authors: How are you planning to use the new bp.org? in the group Miscellaneous: 15 years, 6 months ago
@hnla – I think it’s more important that you leave comments about a given plugin in a place where others are likely to see it (and you’re likely to remember to check them) than that you leave them in a “well-organized” space. Which is to say that you should continue to use the thread if you’d […]

Very cool, Andy. Any plans to reproduce something like the old profiles.wordpress.org plugin view with download counts?

Just curious to know how plugin authors plan to take advantage of the new buddypress.org setup that @apeatling has so graciously provided us with. I’ve already activated forums and provided Donate email addresses for all my plugins (both extremely awesome ideas). I still am unsure how my workflow regarding support will work. On the previous…[Read more]

As andrea_r said, you can’t. More precisely, it’s not a supported or advertised feature of WordPress.
If you’re comfortable working with PHP and WP themes, you could try something like this: http://ryanpricemedia.com/2007/04/08/howto-include-wordpress-widgets-in-post-or-page-body/

@apeatling Is the collapse of profiles.wordpress.org a result of the bp.org site upgrade?

Trying to figure out how my new buddypress.org forum-watching will work. I think that Activity > Groups will be my friend

yeah me too, trying to figure how to see the newest topics of things I’ve replied to.

modemlooper – did you figure it out? I’m trying to do the same thing. All my posts are gone and I was waiting for a reply back on some things

I’m not finding an option for that. Is it in the global site settings in the dashboard?
Go to the group page in BuddyPress (eg http://mydomain.com/groups/my-group) when logged in as a group admin or as the site administrator. Look for the Admin tab, and then for Group Avatar. Alternatively, go directly to http://mydomain.com/groups/my-group/admin/group-avatar
every time i try to upload an avatar for the test group there, it displays the action and then two non-clickable prompts – avatar crop, avatar preview. It doesn’t display the avatar I try to upload at all, and then at the bottom it shows a post command to crop the image. Click it and then nothing. Is it a permissions issue?
