@andy hmm actually now that I understand how to use the drop downs, I see this is the easiest way to see what forum post I have made… so can ignore last one as being ‘key’ but more like ‘nice’. That being said, being able to “favorite” a forum topic seems pretty key to me so it is easier to find the ones that you want to follow.

Nice questions, walls are critical for a social network. @mentions are cool for forums and such and for messaging, but not good for leaving nice messages on peoples walls that make them feel warm and fuzzy inside and that others can check out

Ideally you want good content. So I feel the plugin should work with the ‘like’ feature, but there should also be a ‘thumbs down’ kind of feature that takes away points from people.

A well liked article with lots of recommendations should be worth way more than a spammy post that few people like.

@anabel4you Clearly BP needs a block this user feature, as well, why can any user send any other user a dm? Shouldn’t they have to be following them to send a dm?

Yes I see this, but how do you sort for just post that were left on your wall? I don’t think you can, you have to sort by @ mentions which pulls in all communications from around the site. Whereas with a nice facebook/myspace style wall people can leave friendly messages (and images with wysiwyg) that stay there for people, this is more what I’m after…

Does BuddyPress still have a wall for you to leave messages for others on like on facebook or myspace? The @function is useful, but I don’t feel it’s a wall replacement…

  Visit anyone’s profile page and you’ll see a post form, which emulates the wall. It’s only in this custom theme for now.

@foxly sweat ~ (as my danish roommate would say in accented approval) ~ does that mean that you’ll be able to select a BPAlbum+ pic as your member avatar pic rather than the tiny square one that doesn’t expand you can pick now?

@foxly ~ Beautiful Congrats ~ BPAlbum+ it is ~ Feature I’d like to suggest is ability to tag pictures with members id and have pictures tagged of them sortable just like on facebook ~ with ability for said member to remove tag from any pictures ~

What’s the point of following if you can’t sort by who you’re following in the activity stream?
