I have been involved with IT for a good many years. When I started, people were using dial-up modems and the IBM PC was years in the future. When I started, my programs were on 80 column (Hollerith) punched cards. My first home computer was a Commodore Amiga. We dinosaurs are still around and fixing all the stuff you young whippersnappers break.
