    I’m thinking it may be due to a new database being used. When I asked GoDaddy if I could simply restore the old files from a previous backup to see if that would bring the Activity Feed content back, the reply was not to copy over the wp-config.php file. This tells me a new database was used. Would the Activity Feed content be contained in the database? Thanks!

    Hi @henrywright, While I appreciate the comment, the migration was done via GoDaddy. One click migration from one hosting plan to another. The only difference was that the BuddyPress Activity Stream was no longer there.

    @danbp I look through your links but don’t see the answer to what I’m looking for. I basically want to hide the Administrator’s profile completely from the front end of the site.

    What’s the best theme to use with BuddyPress? Thanks. I think this may explain a lot…

    @mercime Interesting… I used this child theme and have continued with my own modifications.

    Canvas and BBPress fix (WooThemes Canvas Child Theme)

    What do you think? I hadn’t even considered Canvas not being compatible. I will send Woo a ticket.

    What about Genesis?

    Thanks!

    I used this in my child theme stylesheet and it worked on the Members Directory page:

    #buddypress #members-dir-list a.friendship-button.is_friend.remove {
    display: none;
    }

    What is nice is that when you click on the profile of someone who is a friend, you can still cancel the friendship there if you need to.

    @henrywright That’s great that you don’t think it would be a problem! 🙂 I’m just unsure of what direction to tackle it from… CSS or functions.php? Or both? Any suggestions?

    @shanebp Thanks for your positive and supportive response! I’m excited to learn more about BuddyPress and all it can do!
