@FuriousCigars – Try moving the Members and groups pages into its own root page rather than as a child of activities… the activity directory hogs the url structure…

It doesn’t redirect anywhere. It simply shows a new message based on what their doing.
The “check your email” message is between lines 228 and 244 of /registration/register.php

You could use CSS li#xprofile-personal-li {display:none;} along with
