| WordPress Origin Story | My WordPress career started out back in 2010 with the creation of a simple blog created for writing about my experience with web development, SEO and design. Being a developer, I started tinkering with my theme trying to get it just right. In 2012, I got tired of changing existing themes and started with created my own custom themes. In 2014, I made the decision to move all 300 of my website clients over to a custom WordPress theme framework for their websites. After seeing how this streamlined our company and the quick launch of our WordPress products, I fell deeply in love with WordPress. At that point, I took the next steps and got involved with the local meetup and local WordCamp. Surrounding myself with like-minded individuals, I have learned so much and decided to give back to the community. I am now an organizer of our local meetup group and local WordCamp. I also travel and speak at other WordCamps to share my experiences with WordPress. |
