After failing for an hour I guess it’s time I broke down and asked:
what am I doing wrong here? I’ve made changes with Poedit, I’ve uploaded the .mo and .po files to /wp-content/languages and I’ve even tried defining the language in wp-config.php.
Nothing I do gets my new phrasing to show up on the live site. Any ideas? What am I missing?
Aha! You’re one step ahead of me. I was just about to report I looked at the DB and didn’t see the tables. I switched it off and on and they still aren’t there…
Wow it looks like mine goes a bit farther than this. It won’t let me post status updates, private messages, etc. All with that generic, red error message.
What would be stopping all BP data entry? I can still leave comments on posts just fine…
Getting the same error on a fresh install of BP 1.2.6. I turned off all the BP plugins and the error persists. I’m trying to add BP to a long-existing site but it’s hard to get started without being able to create groups…
