Great! Can you by chance which plugins would work best for the second? I’ve done some research but would be interested in what users who’ve actually used it would have to say.

    Thanks RAY!

I read through the solution but I was wondering, how can I tell whether or not my server is running on IIS? Sorry, I’m new to this!

Hate to keep bumping this thread but this is a big problem for me on the site. Can someone point me in the right direction?

I’m still getting complaints from users. Any direction at all would be appreciated.

Still having problems with this. By the way, I upgraded to the latest Buddypress and some people are still having trouble registering.

Here is a message I got today:

“After I filled out all fields and clicked “Complete” button, I got “The webpage cannot be found HTTP 404″ page. FYI, I’m using Win XP and IE 7.”

Can anyone please help me? This is a big issue.

    WordPress 2.9.2
    Buddypress 1.2.3

This happens just as soon as they click “register”.

I figured out why this isn’t working in IE7. For some reason, IE 7 doesn’t add the closing /li tag to “li class=bp-login no-arrow” so the form gets lumped into that li.

The problem is I have “bp-login no-arrow” hidden so everything in it including the form gets hidden as well. You can see exactly what I mean here: http://bit.ly/bVtufR

Is there any way to fix this?

-edit- I fixed this by adding li tags around the form.

Is there anyway to not have the form show up under `ul class=”main-nav”` ? It’s not reading as valid xhtml and also I think this is the reason the fields don’t show up in IE7.

I got rid of the first names of the members; yet, their first names are still showing instead of the user login name. How can I only show the usernames?

I’d like to know how to extend it to the activity feed as well as bbPress. I have bbPress integrated with WordPress and the users’ first names are appearing instead of their usernames.

I’m not sure if this helps but this is what Firebug is telling me:

I used “Buddypress Template Pack” to add support for my existing WordPress theme. Buddypress v. 1.2.3

I fixed it by following directions here: http://www.thesaucymare.co.za/2010/01/wordpressbuddypress-meta-title-tag-not-working/comment-page-1/#comment-182

Maybe this will help others w/ the same problem.

Unfortunately, I can’t show the site since it’s under development but if needed, I will be willing to give access to someone who thinks they can help.

This happens for all pages of Buddypress by the way. Also, this is the biggest problem for me with the site right now so I would REALLY appreciate any help at all! :D

I fixed it temporarily by just hiding that field with css.

    .profile .field_username { display:none; }

If anybody has a better solution, I’d like to hear.

How did this site get their forum looking like this?

    http://irrationalgames.com/community/forums/

This is pretty much all I want. Just basic basic functionality. I don’t want users to have to join a group or be redirected to the groups page when they click on a forum topic. I think it’ll confuse them.
