Do you know of any plugins that implement these types of cron? I learn better looking at other example code and building it from there.

I’ve been looking at Open Inviter and it’s pretty straightforward. My biggest challenge will probably be doing it with some nice Ajax so that it’s all on the same page and not a 2 step process. My Ajax skills are weak, but I’ll give it a whirl and see what happens. The interesting question here […]

I’m interested to know how stable this plugin is? Do you recommend it for production sites? Should this be used with another Blog SEO pack or will this take care of all the SEO?
Thanks!

@ehegwer I haven’t seen any movement. It actually would take a pretty big change to the plugin since it would have to change from a list of text boxes that have one email per textbox to a text area that’s comma delimited. Then, you’d have to split the text area into the individual addresses. Still not […]

Thanks Travel-Junkie. That looks like it will work well hooked to a specific function (ie. user creation). I’ll look into it for some cases. How about something that runs nightly and sends an email to a group of users based on a BP query of the users? Is there a way to schedule this in […]

Does anyone have experience having simple cron jobs run on your BP install? For example, I’m looking to send a PM to users 3 days after a certain type of user has joined. I know how to get the list of user-id’s that I want to send the message to. I’m just not sure the […]

You should be able to do most of this. Depending on how sophisticated you want to be with the auto group join, it may take some coding to make it happen, but I’ve seen others do it. The second part is a little more tricky depending on how you define not integrating with other users. […]

I liked it when someone else posted a topic about the BP Dev Chat to remind me. So, I thought I’d do the same. You can get all the details: http://bpdevel.wordpress.com/2010/08/31/the-next-dev-chat-will-be-on-wednesday-8/
It’s September 8th (today) at 3 EST (check out the link for the international time)

You can definitely enable it after the fact. Here’s a tutorial: http://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-enable-multi-site-option-in-wordpress-3-0/ I’d just test it before you do it since the change might affect some of the plugins you are using or other features of the site.

Seems like the jquery could be added to the bp-default theme and then everyone could enjoy the feature.

techguy posted on the forum topic Gallery /2x Galleries?? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 1 month ago
BPDev has a paid plugin that can do the first step: http://buddydev.com/buddypress/introducing-bp-gallery-rc4-for-buddypress-time-to-get-stable-in-next-week-now/ It requires a modification to the plugin, but the details to do so are in the forums. I haven’t seen the second part yet, but I think the BP Media plugin is working on that.

Seems like a simple enough plugin to create. I’m not sure it makes since in the privacy plugin though.

Look in your theme files and remove the reference to it. In a child theme it’s probably somewhere in the activity folder.

Try this link to change it to the forums instead of the activity: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/how-to-and-troubleshooting/forum/topic/changing-group-tab-display-defaults#post-55449 I think you can turn on or off the reply button for forums in the BP admin, but they aren’t completely integrated that way. A reply in the activity won’t…[Read more]
