I took a different approach to handling a second step. I just redirect the user after the initial registration:

I don’t think they’re part of the language files, but you should be able to use this plugin to do the translations: https://buddypress.org/community/groups/welcome-pack/

I’m not sure how you define transient, but I wouldn’t touch them. They likely were put there for a reason.

Sometimes when a plugin adds something to the WP Options table and you no longer use that plugin, you can delete it. You just have to be careful or you’ll break something.

Did you try going to wp-admin/admin.php?page=bb-forums-setup and reinstalling the forums. When I moved servers I had to reinstall and then they came back.

You can log into trac with the same user you log in to this forum with.

There’s no option that will get all the groups that ‘user_id’ => $user_id is not a member of right? I could certainly get all groups and check if the person is a member, but that’s not very efficient.

What do you want to do with the RSS feed? Pull in the latest posts to the person’s profile?

I’ve only ever seen ones that the blog owner sells stuff. I wonder if https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/wp-e-commerce/ or other WP plugins have been tested on WPMU so that blog owners could sell stuff too.
