Thanks Paul, I’m ok with turning off but will that let everyone write on walls, etc? What’s the downside if I turn that off?

iTaNGO, you might check https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-group-email-subscription/ for the notifications and https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-labs/ for the autosuggest (I’ve not used the labs yet).

Also you might want to start a new topic next time (you sorta hijacked mine) 8^)

Its happened for as long as I can remember…. We’ve just been fighting other fires until now and finally got a chance to look at it…. I changed the the permalinks to a couple of different options and then set back and no go…

WordPress 3.3 and Buddypress 1.5…. I’ve disabled all except buddypress locally and it’s still happening…

I found this for the disable normal users for creating (https://buddypress.org/community/groups/requests-feedback/forum/topic/group-administration/?topic_page=3&num=15) but would love to see anything that didn’t require changing the theme….

Also a concept on the 2nd point. I think if I could find were the logic to allow super admins to be a group admin and add logic to allow people in certain roles to do them as well… but I’m not sure were that would be..
