There’s no exclude parameter at the moment, unfortunately.

I reached out to ZĂŠ via Twitter and he confirmed that wp-polygots is the best place for this.

Thanks for the heads-up. Since the cube points guy is my direct competition, I suspect we’ll have similar actions in mind. I’ll take a look this weekend.

1. Yes
2. If you write code for this, yes. It’s not something I intend to ship at this point. -

@thekmen It is http://achievements.googlecode.com/svn/achievements/ (look at http://achievements.googlecode.com/svn/) as a result of how I imported the data into it from my previous SVN server.
EDIT: I think I’ve updated the google project so that it displays correct URLs now; thanks for the heads-up.

Paul Gibbs posted on the forum topic WordPress 3.0 + Buddypress — User Creation Problems? in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 15 years, 8 months ago
@justinca It’s the kind of support forum where politeness goes a long way. The only issue I’m aware of with BuddyPress page links is that some installs running on IIS need some extra stuff added; that’s vague because I’m not an IIS user, I don’t have access to a machine to dev on, and I don’t […]

@thekmen
Oh noes, you advertise the secret URL — never mind! If anyone tries it, please be aware that it requires the cutting-edge version of BuddyPress 1.2 branch, WP 3.0 and is not feature complete or tested. It’s alpha. -

Pretty well. I’ve got some people testing it. Hopefully will be a few weeks but that’s being intentionally vague đ

Yes, don’t use page caching with BuddyPress.
@jmarino I have no problem with W3TC’s CDN on BudddyPress.

Not having ever written a translation, that’s beyond my scope. Have you asked on the WP-Polyglots mailing list? I’m sure this is a common question.

Paul Gibbs posted on the forum topic WordPress theme vs BuddyPress theme in the group Creating & Extending: 15 years, 8 months ago
I disagree. Using the BP Template Pack and building as a child theme of BP-Default have their respective advantages and disadvantages. An advantage of using the Template Pack which I feel you’re overlooking is that it allows theme designers to quickly get the required template/css/js files into their custom theme. This is a lot quicker […]

Paul Gibbs posted on the forum topic can buddypress replace wishlist for a membership level site? in the group Creating & Extending: 15 years, 8 months ago
BuddyPress doesn’t do any membership level of management like Wishlist does. I can’t vouch for any specific alternatives, but you could check out S2Member.

Paul Gibbs posted on the forum topic Page Not Found within BP from Members tab: File location problem? in the group Installing BuddyPress: 15 years, 8 months ago
The default BuddyPress theme, under bp-themes, is the correct place. Any other themes go into wp-content/themes/ as usual. There’s code-magic that makes the WordPress theme page look in the bp-theme folders for the default theme. I believe your problem is your install path. To quote, “WP installed as a subdirectory (mainsite.com/members).”…[Read more]

Paul Gibbs posted on the forum topic Alternative to bbpress in the group Miscellaneous: 15 years, 8 months ago
You may be able to ‘bridge’ phpBB, etc, into WordPress, but you’d have to probably rewrite all of the BuddyPress forum integration code. It’s non-trivial.
