Thanks — I’ve received your email.
One of the windows is showing a bunch of “-1 ENOENT (No such file or directory)” entries for /plugins/buddypress-media/. Just because it says “BuddyPress” in its name doesn’t mean it’s BuddyPress itself. 🙂
Can you remove this plugin and give it some time to see if your server crashes again?
Ultimately I think…[Read more] -

I’ve made a ticket and we’ll try to get this fixed in BuddyPress 2.2 (due to be released mid/late January 2015). If the fix is easy for you to apply, once we do that, I’ll try to remember to come back and leave a note here.

Ah, good spot. Yes, I think BuddyPress should be nofollowing links in the group description field.

Without seeing the screenshots you mentioned that your support team provided, we still don’t know if it’s a BuddyPress issue — or related to one of the many other plugins you have running. If you’d like, forward those screenshots to me (paul at this domain .org) and I’ll see if it’s helpful here.

Paul Wong-Gibbs replied to the topic is is possible that buddypress activity comments like/unlike same as facebook ? in the forum Creating & Extending 9 years, 12 months ago
We want it, too! There used to be some plugins around that did this for BP (I wrote one myself, in fact), but all the ones I know of are a few years old and probably out of date/won’t work any more.
Hopefully someone can suggest something to help you out now, but I just wanted to comment and let you know this is something I think will get added…[Read more]

How do your team think it’s related to BuddyPress? If you have data that suggests that’s the problem, can you give us the details, so we can look into it?

It’s not wrong. If BuddyPress is enabled, then we use our own registration URL (the first one in your post).

No shortcodes are in BP.

Paul Wong-Gibbs replied to the topic changing multisite to single WP site using BP in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years ago
Switching from multisite to normal flavour WordPress looks kind of complicated. I came across http://wpebooks.com/2010/09/how-to-enable-multisite-in-wordpress/ from a good source (see page 24 of the PDF).
Make backups of everything first. 🙂

Paul Gibbs updated the Using bbPress 2.2+ with BuddyPress page, on the BuddyPress Codex 10 years ago
Recently, bbPress 2.2+ introduced support for BuddyPress.
However, BuddyPress already has a Discussion Forums component that is packaged with the plugin.
We don’t recommend that you use both bbPress and BP’s […]

Right, that JS in the theme is too general and is affecting forms inside BuddyPress templates.

While I’m happy you found a solution for you 🙂 downgrading PHP isn’t something that someone should have to do. We’re still unclear as to the cause of the problem; I’d be surprised if it was only related to the PHP change (maybe changing the PHP version also cleared some cache or something — I don’t know).
We run our unit tests on PHP 5.2, 5.3,…[Read more]

Paul Wong-Gibbs replied to the topic Persian support buddypress in the forum Requests & Feedback 10 years ago
We can’t help with validating the translations on translate.wordpress.org. I am not sure who manages the Persian translations. If you can’t find out either, ask on https://make.wordpress.org/polyglots/
Thank you for contributing translations to BuddyPress 🙂

Paul Wong-Gibbs replied to the topic [Resolved] registration page errors not being generated in safari / IE in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years ago
If the theme vendors have chosen not to support BuddyPress (it really doesn’t take much effort — and you have to be doing something non-standard for BP’s default compatibility to not work), that’s disappointing to hear and I guess it means I won’t be recommending ab-themes. If the developers at ab-themes read this and you do want to get things…[Read more]

Well.. I haven’t updated Welcome Pack since 2011-12-4, and that was when WordPress about version 3.3.1 :). Parts of the plugin might still work, but I doubt everything is going to work perfectly.

That’s a core class introduced in 2.0; I’m surprised you’re seeing this, unless some other plugin has tried to customise the class or you’ve added something to a helper file manually.

Paul Wong-Gibbs replied to the topic Where is the option to register? in the forum How-to & Troubleshooting 10 years ago
We don’t have our own option for that. Use WordPress’ “allow registration” option which I think is in wp-admin > Settings > Reading.
Regarding the bar, no. Again, it’s WordPress’ bar, and there are probably helper plugins which will turn it off for you (or code snippets); you should be able to find something on Google pretty easily.
