Confirmed; it seems to break when changing a user’s group. Changing the name or description doesn’t loose the forum status.

https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/buddypress-followers/ hasn’t been updated in >2 years. I think the problem is just some bad code that needs updating.

Please contact your web host for support, and ask them to look in the PHP error log for any error messages — then tell us, and we can try to help.

@mercime – 500s are server-side errors (a WSOD) so finding out what the actual error is the best first step 🙂

If you tried those suggestions, what did your host say when you contacted them? Did they tell you what the error message was?

Group Docs should continue to work just fine. Post on the plugin’s support forum on WordPress.org if you find a problem with it!

I haven’t tested Welcome Pack with 1.7, so it’s possible there’s an issue. Going to test all the things over the next couple of weeks.
