I suggest searching or asking for help on bbPress.org’s forums — maybe someone’s seen this before.

Activation is required for a lot of welcome pack’s features to work. This is intentional and I do not support sites that have activation disabled.

Ah hah. Then you need to go to Tools > bbPress Importer in wp-admin (or something similar – I can’t remember what it’s called) to move your content from bbP1 to bbP2.

I would suggest you start by only trying to get WordPress working (no plugins or custom themes). Once you have custom permalinks working, then move on to BuddyPress and bbPress.

Sure. Make a ticket on https://buddypress.trac.wordpress.org/ and we’ll look into it for a future release. If you are able toacreage a patch for this change, it’d get into BP quicker.

Look into something called “Open Graph”.

I’m not aware of any decent plugins that add Open Graph markup for BuddyPress content, before you ask 🙂

We removed some legacy user name validation in 1.6. We now just let WP validate it, itself.

In BuddyPress 1.6 (due out soon – weeks, rather than months) there is an admin option to do this. In the interim, maybe look on wordpress.org for plugins.

Looks like issues with the BP Mobile plugin rather than BuddyPress. Have you tried contacting the BP Mobile plugin’s author for support?
