  • It is produced by some plugin. Disable all your plugins and this problem will disappea. Then switch the plugins on one by one and see which recreates the issue.

I also have similar issues after upgrading to BP 1.6. Coincidentally I also use Salutation.

    Hi Paul,
yes I did read through the page and have taken the appropriate steps to check things at my own end.

I updated my theme, tried to use the default buddypress theme for testing, cleared my cache, disabled plugings, even repaired and optimised my db thru cpanel. But the 404 error persist!

    Thanks @karmatosed

My problem is similar to that posted by @r-a-y but with a difference that I am not using activity page as the parent page.

I am not using activity page as the parent page to other pages but I still get a 404 for profile pages, forum threads, groups etc.

    blog.com/members/username

    blog.com/bb/forum-thread-title

    blog.com/groups/group-title

I can open the members page, forums page and groups page but then clicking on any members profile on member’s page or on a thread title in forum or on a group title in the groups page leads to 404. Everything was working perfectly before the 1.6 update.

    comments in activity stream.

Was either of you able to resolve this issue. I am having the same problem too.

Is there a database hack to selectively delete entries for a user/day?

During the site development process, the buddypress has taken lot of sample data and we want to clean that before public launch.

We ofcourse do not want to delete all the editor accounts.

I can understand that new posts appear in the activity stream but even if I correct a typo in an old post, it appears in the activity stream …and that also as a ‘new post’!

    1.5.1

Isin’t buddypress only supposed to be installed sa a plugin to wordpress?

    https://codex.buddypress.org/getting-started/setting-up-a-new-installation/

I did set BP_ROOT_BLOG constant. As I said, everything else is working fine. Members can login, create groups and forums, join groups, the members in a group do get listed in that group, they can send friend requests to each other and also private messages, appear in activity streams….

It’s just that members directory comes blank and friendship requests page shows no friendship requests, even when the top admin bar shows notice of new request.
