I presume you’re asking about the “standard” Buddypress adminbar. Make sure your custom theme has the call to wp_footer in its footer template See here for more:

@doralevich Sorry for not getting back to you sooner… been busy building a new theme for BP. Here’s a link to the Buddypress Template Pack that should give you all the info you need to get the job done. https://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/bp-template-pack/ Could you post a link to your site? Hi Altermann…I’m so all over the place with this, I really don’t know…are you able to help me out in a few different BP areas?
Hello,
Well, I already solved the problem, was in an plugin. Well, I’m new on BuddyPress, but if is possible I can help, yes.
I’m looking for someone who can help me configure the Social parts of Buddy Press. I think because I’m not using a BP friendly theme, the social parts are not “pretty” enough, making it more difficult to navigate.
Things like setting up tabs, divisions between posts etc.
Well, I’am not BuddyPress expert but I can try to help you. If you prefere, send me an email. dennisaltermann@gmail.com
