Same thing here: WP 2.9.2 with Hostgator, latest version of BuddyPress, couple of plug-ins but all compatible with the default theme and installation I am using. bbPress is in a subfolder in my buddypress plug-in folder

My installation for the bbpress folder is in wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-forums. Does the extra folder level make a difference to the plugin working properly?

When I try to post from the cached homepage I get an error saying
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/virb/public_html/bicl/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-themes/bp-default/_inc/ajax.php:142) in /home/virb/public_html/bicl/wp-content/plugins/buddypress/bp-forums/bb-config.php on line 10

Can anyone help me decipher what this means?

Okay. So BP plugins for BP. How do I get info on ‘hacking’ WP plugins to make them globally available on BP?

Hi, Jeff. Thanks for the speedy response. So the crucial difference is that if I don’t need multiple blogs I can still with good old WP and not have to interface with MU. Great. I notice that BuddyPress doesn’t have a Calendar plugin (well I couldn’t find one). Is there a substitue? How do WP plugins work in BP?
