The follow/mute function is a throw back to an earlier version of the plugin so it could definitely use some lovin’. However I don’t think i’ll be able to get to this for a few weeks.

This is the happiest bug report I’ve ever heard!!! it means our plugin was the only one internationalized properly. LOL.

no idea, something about wordpress’s false cron schedule not firing. sorry. it could be something to do with how your server is setup. try changing the time they fire, see if that helps.

everything is possible, but this is not the purpose of the plugin. you could go into the code an copy out what you need easily enough with a tiny bit of php knowledge. it’s all in there. Get list of all users, loop through them.

following up on John David Smith’s comment. It seems that his bbpress folder went missing during the upgrade to WP 3.1 and then BP 1.2.8. Very strange. I uploaded the folder again to where it belongs and went through the manual install and it was fine.

you should post the wordpress bug on trac.wordpress.org.

looking closer at the code. $security is an empty var. how odd. it seems the nonce is disabled a few lines up. yikes!

woah! crazy idea. This is going to be quite tricky, but very cool if it works in the end. Remember that facebook only added ‘reply to email to update a post’ recently. So I think this is an ambitious project. Sorry I can’t help more.

problem fixed in version 2.8.1. I didn’t know that an action hook was passing the actual activity content as a reference (&$content). I should have looked! no problemo.

i’ll fix it. I was doing a little hack to get updates to work in our plugin – and even said so in the code – but obviously there were repercussions!

@chestnut_jp has been incredibly helpful with other plugin fixes in the past, but honestly, I don’t understand these changes very well and don’t have the time to figure them out. The time zone issue does not seem to affect my sites. So I second boone’s suggestion.

yes, I can help. but the *reply* to the update should have said
‘user1 posted a new activity comment in the group group2’. just making sure we’re talking about the same thing here.

the plugin could be adapted to do that for your use, but the base plugin won’t go in that direction. can hack a bit in php? if yes, then it will be will take an hour or so to get it to work to send a daily digest to all site members of all activity.

ha – i mentioned it would take some time. how about 3 months! it’s fixed in version 2.8.
