In reply to: Buddypress plugin incompatible with others. Errors
Have you asked the ithemes support folks? I thought I came across something about a conflict there a while back but I may be wrong. I use wordfence for security and it works really wel, they responded to a problem their plugin was causing with BP right away offered a work around and then a fix.
In reply to: Image gallery/feed on users profile page. There should be a media or gallery tab which shows the media uploaded by user on their profile page at least that is how it works with rtmedia on my site.
In reply to: Force email for loginGotcha thanks
I see you are using wordfence security plugin. There was a recent but that was preventing uploads on my BP site. You may want to check this thread in WP plugin support forum to see if it related to your problem.
https://wordpress.org/support/topic/recent-update-and-image-uploads/#post-8350474You may want to consider alternatives that are compatible. There are BP compatible options for all the plugins you mention. For example I use wise chat plugin for chat.
Media press is a BP compatible image upload plugin. Might help yourself to look around some more.In reply to: Xprofile custom fields – imageWorking now not sure what changed other than update
In reply to: Need link to User Profile on Main MenuYW glad I could be helpful
In reply to: Need link to User Profile on Main MenuIf you go to appearance > menu and click screen options in the upper right corner then check the buddypress option from the list of checkboxes it will add buddypress specific menu for profile, login, logout and others.
In reply to: Recommend caching plugin for BPI looked at WP rocket and they don’t list any object caching in there feature list so that would really solve the issue with not using W3 total cache. My host only allows memcache on dedicated server not VPS. So still trying to find alternative.
@djpaul do you have recommendation for object caching. Pretty much had turned chachingnof becausing from what I was reading didn’t work well for BP. Running on VPS which can be configured to run Php xcache.
In reply to: Forums and GroupsI believe this shows how to set up sitewide and groups forums together
In reply to: NING MIGRATIONIt’s not free and I have used but might be what you need.
In reply to: Buddypress Post Comments on Activity UpdateIn addition to the two already mentioned Buddypress activity plus is another option it has 10000 active installs. Was the first one I tried though I settled on the afore mentioned Rtmedia
In reply to: buddypress hostingShared hosting would not IMO you would need a VPS or managed host depending on your configuration ex your theme and number of plugin.
In reply to: Group with multiple forums? The way to to it is to make the first forum for your group a category forum. Ex MY GROUP FORUM then make subsequent forums standard and set the first one as the parent. That should accomplish what you want to do.
In reply to: Buddypress bootstrap themeThanks for the response I was looking for first hand recommendations.
In reply to: Front-End PublishingThis one also looks good got updated today
https://wordpress.org/plugins/social-articles/In reply to: Xprofile custom fields – image@danbp Yeah That was the first thing I did but I found it a bit confusing trying to figure out whether and which additional option to apply.
Will give it another look to see if I made any mistakes in implementing the fix.

In reply to: How to get buddypress to work with my theme ?@madmarc read up on it here
In reply to: How to get buddypress to work with my theme ?I am no expert but have you tried copying the BP legacy theme files to your theme/child theme directory?
In reply to: Link Profile in htmlI think you can do that by creating a custom menu with the profile, message and notification links then using the custom menu widget to place in the side. Use the screen options fold out on the admin >appearance >menu page to make the Buddypress profile, notifications etc menu links visible.
