@kunalb Hi kunalb,
Eventpress is a great plugin but there are a few things which disturb the workflow right now…– Uploading an event avatar should have the same workflow like uploading a profile avatar. It just breaks the frontend consistency and users hate to learn more ways doing similar stuff.
– The map has an odd size. The width might be…[Read more]

But I am not able to create an event when visiting a group (http://test.jobboardr.com/groups/test-group/events/) or I just don’t see it. ^^

The Points badge avatar is huge and the achievement page is not styled.

I am unable to change my profile avatar. It returns this error message “Upload Failed! Error was: Unable to create directory /home/buddypress/public_html/wpmu/wp-content/blogs.dir/1/files/avatars/1580102. Is its parent directory writable by the server?”

Wow, it looks good on the iphone. 🙂 It would be awesome if users could see their “nearby” friends using the iphone’s geolocation gps capability.

The events plugin is looking good. 🙂 If you would add the capability of group events would be cool.

Ekine posted on the forum topic uninstalling plugin and removing the corresponding mysql tables in the group How-To and Troubleshooting: 14 years, 2 months ago
Wouldn’t it be better if the option of deleting the corresponding plugin database tables were build in within the wordpress administration. Drupal handles uninstalling plugins this way which is very handy.

@johnjamesjacoby @porscheheritage @gpo1 I would love that idea. The main reason why I think that diaspora has some great potential is because users can connect and become friends with each other across multiple domains who also have diaspora installed. The fact that diaspora is written in ruby might be a small obstacle because there are less…[Read more]

It might be due to heavy traffic. It’s very slow at the moment. But when refreshing the page it might show up again. One should consider that this showcase is a pre-alpha version and today is the first day that the public can actually test this social app. The real strenght of diaspora is that […]

You can test this app @ http://pivots.joindiaspora.com Add me as a friend to check out the privacy features. ekine@pivots.joindiaspora.com I am wondering if this new project will influence the development of buddypress in any way because diaspora’s approach is really new in terms of users owning their content and letting them choose who will gain […]

I’ve received a lot of requests (ie 3) for this — so I’ll try to see what I can do for the next version after 0.1.3… it will take some time though (specially…[Read more]
When creating an event the wysiwyg editor shows both, visual and html icons. After hitting visual or html the problem resolves See screenshot (http://i53.tinypic.com/2rqkao5.gif). I am using the firefox 3.6.10 for mac browser. It would be handy if we could disable the rich text editor within the backend.
Within the custom registration form, I am…[Read more]
@ekine Hmm … I haven’t actually faced this issue — will have to check this out. Does the firefox console show any javascript errors with this? And the rte settings are inherited based on user capabilities; so if you do disable the rte in wp-admin for users, it should get disabled on the front end too.
Firefox doesn’t show any javascript errors. Yes, but when disabling the rte, all the links for “b” “i” “img” and so on are still visible. I’d like to see only a text field similar to the status update fiels or comment field, removing all the distraction from the viewers eye.
Strange — cause the issue is definitely with js. WIll have to investigate further.
So I was mimicking the wp-admin behaviour on this, reverting to the simple html tags version when the rich text editor is disabled. I’m directly using the_editor tag provided in wp-admin to render that text field.
I deleted this plugin in favor of the event calendar pro from shne and peter. However, I still see that data is left behind in my database. I would like to know how to get rid of it. Please tell me the proper query to remove these capabilities from my wp_options > wp_user_roles:
edit_event, read_event, delete_event, edit_events,…[Read more]
